SQL Delta Help
Project Options Overview
This page describes project options at a high level. Most option behavior is shared across products even when the connection pages differ.
Common option groups
- Load options: affect how metadata is loaded, timeouts are handled, and whether additional server objects are included.
- Compare options: affect how SQL Delta evaluates differences, naming, formatting, permissions, and object properties.
- Script options: affect how deployment scripts are generated, wrapped in transactions, ordered, and commented.
- Data compare options: affect compare storage, matching rules, conversion behavior, and generated data scripts.
Where products differ
- SQL Server has the broadest server-specific option surface in the current help corpus.
- MySQL and Oracle generally follow the same option model, but their practical meaning can differ when a page refers to schema, owner, encryption, or server-specific objects.
- Only split into product-specific option pages where the difference changes user expectations or scripting behavior in a material way.
Use Project Options - SQL Server for the first detailed walkthrough, then refer back to the existing screen-level option pages such as Schema Compare Options and Data Compare Options.
